Dental implants
A dental implant is an artificial replacement for the root part of a tooth. It is shaped like a small metal screw which is inserted into your jaw while you are either numbed or asleep. After the implant has been given time to heal, a replacement tooth/crown can be fitted to it.
For people who are missing many, or all of their natural teeth, implants can be used to anchor new dentures, making them very stable and comfortable.
The dental implant, with the new tooth/crown, will look and feel natural. You can chew, brush and most importantly, eat naturally with dental implants. With proper care, dental implants will last for many years.
